FAQS
DO WE HAVE TO CARRY OR CART THE BOATS?
NO. All of our locations are on the water and we will have your canoes, kayaks or paddle boards in the water ready for you to go.
CAN I JUST WALK UP AND RENT A BOAT?
NO. We have an online reservation system that blocks off your time, has an online waiver and online payment system. If you just show up, there may not be anything available or you may have missed the rental period. Either way, we're going to direct you to the website to do it online even if you show up, so please do yourself and us a favour and book what you need online. We thank you in advance.
WHAT IF THE WEATHER ISN'T GREAT
A little rain never hurt anyone but we also understand that hard rain, high winds and lightning can be unsafe. If we decide it is too dangerous, we will contact you and let you know with as much advance notice as we can and we will rebook you for another date.
**PLEASE NOTE--we do not rely on short of long term forecasts as the weather near the lake is very unpredictable and inclement weather often gets pushed north or sucked into the lake.
ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS FOR RENTALS OR EVENTS?
Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent/guardian with them on the water at all times. We provide life jackets for small adults. If you are bringing anyone under 8, we ask you to bring life jackets for them. Single kayaks cannot be operated by anyone under 7 and stand-up paddle boards cannot be used by anyone under 12. Our events are designated for those aged 18 and above.
HOW DOES PAYMENT WORK?
As of 2022, our service fee is paid up front so you are paying for your rental in full at the time of booking. When your rental begins, a $50 deposit per boat is taken from the credit card you booked with and it will be returned in the evening that night, provided everything comes back as you were given it.
